about

Eric Sim, my colleague, producer and one of my best friends, is the reason for Let The Music. This song was originally called Ballroom Innovators and came full circle in one half day at the studio. I had been playing around with the bass line for weeks and we messed around with it in between sessions one day only to find ourselves with a new song.

This tune, like the rest of this entire album, is about the love of my life. It was the second song I wrote for / about her and it was inspired by a trip she made to a wedding out west. That is all I will say about that.

lyrics

Chorus:

Let the music
Entertain us
Hit the dancefloor
Its contagious
Let the movement
Make you famous
We are ballroom
Innovators

Verse 1:

I got a hunch that youve come dressed for the festivities
That dont involve the pomp and circumstance
May I have this dance
I see that you're the maid of honor and if you'd do me the honor of
Showing me some kind of love we could romance
My moves are limited but wont you teach me something I can do so all the people can watch you
And think that I belong
But this aint just another song babe
This is music we made
Let it roll rock
Dont stop

Verse 2:

Let's take a break before we
Resume and shake it or we
Could share some time together practicing your toast speech
Im not a wedding crasher and this aint the movies honey
But its crazy kind of funny that you look so hollywood
In carolina we'd call you the queen of raleighwood
I'd steal your booty like the Pirates of Somali would
But let's walk back to the reception sit beside of me
And if you got a man spare my heart you can lie to me

Bridge:

And if we slow it down
Hun would that be ok
I'd love to take you with me
When I leave here today
Im falling for you quickly
I'd love to run away
When I tap on your window
Please come along and play

And once the party's over
When its your time to leave
I hope you'll let me love you
So far away from me
I be still thinking of you
The space it isnt bad
Dont want the distance you're the best i've had
